The city of Girona experienced a morning of high tension as various groups of protesters converged on strategic locations. Demonstrators blocked the AP-7 highway near the city, resulting in miles of traffic jams.

The protest reached its peak at the Generalitat de Catalunya headquarters in Girona. After marching through the city center, protesters gathered in front of the institutional building to demand labor improvements.
