Teaching staff and the agricultural sector have called for a day of protests this Thursday, March 19, expected to block access to Girona from both north and south.

The mobilization, organized by unions such as USTEC-STEs and CGT, will begin at 8:00 AM with a slow vehicle march from Salt. This action will target the C-65 and the Barcelona road, causing early morning delays.
From 10:00 AM, two walking columns will head toward the city center from Avellaneda and Sarrià de Ter. Farmers from Revolta Pagesa will join the protest with tractors starting from the Fontajau pavilion.

"The agreement was signed through the back door and behind the backs of the majority of teachers with the sole aim of deactivating the mobilization."

Demands include salary updates and smaller class sizes. The protest will conclude in front of the Generalitat de Catalunya headquarters at Plaça de Pompeu Fabra.
