Several users of the R11 train line had to opt for taxis to return home after rail traffic was interrupted between Caldes de Malavella and Maçanet-Massanes due to adverse weather conditions.

A passenger has reported the situation experienced on Wednesday evening, when rail traffic was affected by heavy rainfall. The initial solution communicated was an alternative bus service towards Maçanet-Massanes, but after hours of waiting, passengers were informed that there was no communication regarding when this transport would arrive.
Given the lack of information and alternatives, many users, including elderly people, families with children, and tourists, decided to take a taxi to reach their destinations. The affected passenger lamented having to spend 30 euros and criticized the "lack of information" received from the staff.
According to the user, passengers heading towards France were provided with a bus, while those going towards Maçanet-Massanes and Barcelona were left waiting. She also pointed out that problems on the R11 line seem to be recurrent, particularly in the direction of Girona.

"Nobody came to explain what was happening."

For its part, Renfe explained that the interruption was a consequence of heavy rains and that, when possible and available, replacement buses are provided. The company noted that, in some cases, road disruptions prevent even this alternative service. In the case of the R11 line, the buses did arrive, but with delays due to weather conditions and the difficulty of quickly finding vehicles.
Renfe regrets the situation and the inconvenience caused to passengers, and assures that it always tries to offer transport alternatives when conditions permit.
