Between 3 PM and 5:30 PM, emergency services responded to multiple incidents. Most of these interventions were prompted by minor flooding in basements and fallen tree branches, as reported by the Firefighters themselves.
The geographical distribution of the operations shows that the Central Region was the most affected, with nine services. This was followed by the Southern Metropolitan Region with eight, the Northern Metropolitan Region with six, the Girona region with five, and the Tarragona region with two.
In addition to direct interventions, the Firefighters also deployed preventive units to the Montserrat area. This measure was taken to quickly assist any hikers who might encounter difficulties due to adverse weather conditions.
Civil Protection had already activated the Inuncat alert the previous night, anticipating that the threshold of 20 liters per square meter could be exceeded in half an hour across a significant part of the Catalan territory.
