The TV3 network and the 3Cat platform premiere this Tuesday, March 24, the docuseries La fugida, veritats ocultes, a journalistic investigation that unmasks the protection system for sexual predators in religious schools.

This new production, directed by Guillem Sánchez, Josep Morell, and Marc M. Sarrado, expands on the investigation started two years ago with the documentary La fugida. The work focuses on how various religious congregations in Catalonia facilitated the impunity of pederasts by sending them abroad or hiding their actions for decades.

"We wanted to continue pulling the thread, trying this time to focus on how, through journalism, one can fight against the cover-up."

The series consists of three episodes that delve into specific cases such as that of Josep Blay, convicted in 2023 for abuse in Alella, or Manel Sales, a Piarist missionary who operated in Senegal for 25 years. The investigation also addresses the current situation of these aggressors, some of whom have rebuilt their lives in Castellón or remain free despite the severity of their actions.
