Two people were seriously injured this March 1st in a traffic accident on the AP-7 highway near Salt, causing significant traffic congestion in the Girona area.

The incident took place at kilometer point 63.10 heading north. Emergency services were alerted at 5:08 PM after two cars collided and overturned on the road. Police sources indicate that while the impact was severe, no fatalities have been reported at this stage.
Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters) attended the scene to stabilize the overturned vehicles and assist the occupants. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash at the southern entrance to the city.
Traffic was restricted to a single lane, creating a bottleneck with delays of up to 3 kilometers. Traffic officers managed the flow of vehicles while recovery teams worked to clear the wreckage and restore normal driving conditions on the highway.
