The UGT union unveiled a large-scale artistic intervention in Girona this March 6th to commemorate International Women's Day, created by local muralist Neve.

Located on Pierre Vilar street, the mural titled Obrim camins, trenquem barreres serves as a visual manifesto. The project aims to transform urban space into a place for reflection on gender equality and social rights.
The artist Núria Alemany Rovira, known as Neve, designed the piece. The Girona-based muralist depicted three women from different generations—past, present, and future—walking together towards a bright horizon.

"This generational reading reinforces the idea that rights do not appear spontaneously: they are built collectively."

The initiative highlights that social progress is the result of historical efforts. The artwork stands as a symbol of hope and continuity for the feminist movement in the Gironès region.
