The president of UAlumni at UVic-UCC, an executive with extensive experience, has described the Executive MBA as one of the best professional investments, highlighting its importance in acquiring a new management language and confidence in decision-making.

This professional profile, with experience in the hygiene and chemical treatment sector, has led the expansion of an internationally recognized brand. His career, forged in the family business, has enabled him to transform complex challenges into innovative solutions. Now, as president of UAlumni, he seeks to share this experience with the community of former students of the University of Vic, convinced that local talent can drive the country's economy.
His arrival at the presidency of UAlumni coincides with a period of professional maturity, where continuous training is seen as an essential tool to stay current in a constantly evolving world. This spirit motivated him to pursue the Executive MBA at UVic, a master's degree that represented a qualitative leap in his career, providing him with the necessary management tools to go beyond traditional marketing.

"The Executive MBA is probably one of the best professional investments I have ever made."

Before the master's, he had already exercised leadership in associative and public sectors, but the EMBA allowed him to structure and consolidate knowledge acquired from various sources. He discovered methodologies such as PESTEL analysis, Porter's Five Forces, the Business Model Canvas, and the Balanced Scorecard, which transformed his approach to strategic planning and reading financial statements from a managerial perspective.
One of the most valuable assets of the EMBA, according to the executive, is the network of contacts and the exchange with peers, who bring diverse perspectives from different sectors. This network remains active years after graduation, facilitating conversations and collaborations. Regarding leadership, the EMBA reinforced his approachable and empathetic style, providing him with methods to understand the complementarity of profiles within a team and to motivate people through purpose, autonomy, and recognition.

"The master's teaches you to work in a team, with short deadlines and incomplete information, and surely, when you finish, you prioritize with more clarity and delegate much more."

Continuous training is seen as fundamental in a rapidly changing world, with the example of artificial intelligence and Agile methodologies, which were not as relevant when he completed the EMBA in 2017. His involvement with UAlumni, where he was already part of the board, is a way to express gratitude for what the university has provided him and to continue contributing to its growth, especially as a native of Osona with a special identification with UVic-UCC.
From the presidency of UAlumni, he proposes to promote a strategic plan to strengthen the association's role as a bridge between the university, businesses, and the territory. Priorities include continuous training for alumni, strengthening the Employment Portal, and scholarships for CFGS students. The difference between a boss and a leader with executive training lies in a global vision and awareness of the impact of decisions on people, seeking collective knowledge and empathy.
