Ukrainian striker Vladyslav Vanat has become a key player for Girona FC, scoring four goals in the last three matches, allowing Míchel's team to secure three consecutive wins and move away from the relegation positions.

The current good form of Girona is largely due to the excellent performance of several players, with Vladyslav Vanat standing out. The Ukrainian has scored in the three consecutive league victories, totaling four goals in this series, three of which were penalties. This streak has been fundamental for Míchel's team to accumulate nine vital points since the turn of the year, achieving a four-point margin over the most dangerous positions.
With a total of seven goals, the forward is now tied for eighth place in the top 10 goal scorers of the category. This achievement of scoring in three consecutive victories had only been previously accomplished by four red-and-white players in the First Division: the legend Stuani, Portu, Taty, and his compatriot Dovbyk, who was the top scorer (Pichichi) in the historic 2023/24 season.

Only Mbappé surpasses the red-and-white player as the one who has given his teammates the most points through his goals.

Since his arrival at the club from Dynamo Kyiv for about 15 million euros, Vanat has shown a great spirit of sacrifice, both in pressing and in generating spaces for his teammates, as requested by the coach. This effort has been rewarded with crucial points for Girona. In fact, only Mbappé (11 points) surpasses the Ukrainian (10 points) as the player who has given his team the most points through his goals in the league.
The club continues to explore the Ukrainian market, a strategy that began with the arrival of Viktor Tsygankov in January 2023 and continued with Artem Dovbyk and goalkeeper Vladyslav Krapyvtsov. Now, Girona could incorporate another compatriot, the 20-year-old, 2.04-meter tall striker Pyshchur, who currently plays for ETO FC in Hungary, for a sum of one million euros.
