Thieves targeting storage rooms returned to the Domeny neighborhood in Girona early this Friday morning, breaking into ten units and stealing valuable items.

The latest incident occurred in an apartment block on Roberto Bolaño street, where residents had previously experienced intrusions. The criminals forced the access doors to the garage before attacking the private storage spaces.
In total, the thieves managed to break into ten storage rooms, although they were not successful in opening all of them. From those they did access, they primarily stole bicycles and tools, considered the most valuable contents.
The case is currently under investigation by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) from the Girona police station, who were alerted to a robbery with force. So far, the security force has confirmed that there are no arrests related to these events.
These burglaries are not an isolated incident in the area, where residents have been demanding increased security for months. In December, similar episodes were recorded both on the same street and on Font de la Teula street, where masked individuals broke into 15 storage rooms.
