The gathering, held this Sunday, is part of the organization's actions leading up to International Workers' Day, aiming to call on youth to organize and fight against the rise of fascism and the current international context.
“"We denounce the war orchestrated by Trump and Netanyahu, with the complicity of the EU. It is necessary to immediately launch a class front to confront the authoritarian and militaristic reforms being implemented."
The youth organization, linked to the Catalan Socialist Movement, positions itself as an alternative to both reactionary discourses and a parliamentary left that, according to them, offers no real alternatives. The Girona Housing Union is also part of this political space.
From the Girona regions, the OJS also addressed a message to Aliança Catalana, asserting that the fight for political and national rights and freedoms belongs to organized working youth, citing examples such as halting evictions, combating racist, sexist, and LGTBI-phobic attacks, and defending linguistic rights.
The day concluded with a sound system session by the Cultural Association Feel Free de Salt.
