The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 25-year-old man in Salt on January 6 accused of violently stealing an electric scooter and 200 euros from a young man in Girona on December 29.

The violent robbery occurred on Carrer Sant Pau in Girona when two individuals approached the victim, knocked him to the ground, and stole his scooter, valued at 659 euros, along with a satchel containing documentation and approximately 200 euros in cash.
The key to the arrest came on the afternoon of January 6, when the victim identified one of the thieves on Carrer Torres i Bages in Salt. Not only did he recognize the man, but he also saw him carrying both the stolen scooter and the satchel, prompting him to immediately alert the police.
When officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra station in Salt arrived, the suspect attempted to flee on the scooter. Despite the escape attempt, officers located him shortly after leaving a hairdresser's shop and placed him under arrest.
The man, aged 25 and with a police record, was charged with robbery with violence and intimidation. The scooter was recovered hidden in the establishment's restroom, and the satchel was found on the detainee. All stolen items were returned to the victim.
The police investigation remains open to identify and locate the second individual involved in the assault. The arrested suspect was brought before a judge the day after his detention.
