The closure of this location, situated at number 137 on Barcelona Street, follows the strategy of El Corte Inglés to strengthen its large department store located at numbers 106-110 on the same road. The main center has undergone significant renovations in recent years.

The outlet store, which opened in November 2020, specialized in discounted fashion and sports equipment. To mark the closure, the shop will launch a final stock clearance with an additional 20% discount on all items starting from February 16th.

Regarding the staff, the ten employees currently working at the outlet will be integrated into the main Girona store's commercial team. This move follows the company's trend of consolidating its presence in the city after modernizing its primary building and the surrounding Plaça Salvador Dalí in 2021.
