Mora, who previously coached the reserve team and managed the U19 squad in the UEFA Youth League at Girona, moved to Kolding, a city on the east coast of Jutland, last summer. His rapid promotion, announced in December, was facilitated by his initial contact with head coach Albert Rudé, who offered him an assistant role with the first team alongside his academy duties.
“"I had hit my growth ceiling and needed to leave to take steps forward as a person and coach."
Comparing the Danish football environment to Catalonia, Mora notes that while the technical level and decision-making are lower, the physical and mental aspects are superior. He emphasizes that the culture in Kolding is “fantastic, quiet, and safe,” despite the challenging winter months.
The coach reflects on the limited resources and financial instability often found in youth football in Catalonia, which drives many highly trained professionals abroad. Mora confirms that his current project at Kolding IF is long-term, aiming to develop the academy and achieve promotion to the Danish Superliga.
