Casas Soler holds a degree in History from the University of Girona (UdG) and a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He also holds a master's degree in European studies from the University of Leuven (Belgium) and another in Political Philosophy from the UPF.
Currently, Casas Soler combines his work as a secondary education teacher with that of a collaborating professor in History, Geography, and Humanities degrees at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
In his academic career, he served as an associate professor at the UdG in 2022 and as a senior technician in research promotion at the Historical Research Institute of the same university in 2020. In 2011, he collaborated as a researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) on the Dictionary of Parliamentarians of Catalonia (1808-1868).
Professionally, Casas was the coordinator of the Housing, Social Affairs, and Education area at the Salt City Council during 2024. Since 2011, he has worked as a teacher in various secondary schools in Girona, and in 2007 he worked for the Generalitat de Catalunya as a project evaluator for the recovery of historical memory.
