The journalist and collaborator of Diari de Girona, Jordi Bosch i Molinet, was recognized with the award for the best journalistic work promoting the profession. During his speech, Bosch, who has written nearly 800 articles on the Sunday back page of the newspaper, championed the importance of restaurants, quoting the writer Josep Pla, who said that conversations at the table are “civilization itself.”
“"Because they have forced me to adapt and learn."
The career award went to Josep Perramon i Anton, a historic professor at the Girona Hospitality School, described by PdS President Lluís Coll as “a reference for many people, mentor, guide, and role model.” The young waiter award went to David Huguet, from the Almadraba Park Hotel in Roses.
Lluís Coll emphasized that Huguet is a professional who represents the essence of what the hall profession should be, recognizing his “evolution.” The awards ceremony, which concluded the activities dedicated to hall professionals at the Forum, ended with a group photo featuring dozens of sector representatives under the slogan “The hall counts. The profession counts,” seeking to give visibility to their work.
