Most of the second day of the II Girona Emotional Well-being Congress, organized by the City Council and Fira de Girona, had to be postponed due to the severe storm that affected the city last January. The congress, titled “The Revolution of Caring,” focuses on the importance of self-care and mutual support in the context of mental health and social media.
The new calendar will begin on February 10 with a double session. In the morning, El Modern will host the podcast “Aigua clara: la importància de les cures,” featuring journalist Antoni Bassas and psychologist Alba Alfageme. In the afternoon, the Cinema Truffaut will screen the documentary Anedonia dins la depressió, by Fidel Masreal and Facundo Beraudi.
Activities will continue on February 12 at the Centre Cívic Barri Vell with an introductory workshop on the zentangle method, designed to promote concentration and relaxation through structured drawings. This same civic center will host a yoga nidra session on March 17.
The program will conclude on March 24 at the Centre Cultural La Mercè with two conferences. Catalan philosopher and theologian Francesc Torralba will offer the talk “Entre cures i silencis: com sostenir les persones cuidadores,” followed by the conversation “Veus que cuiden: com afrontar el final de la vida,” with the participation of the Mémora Foundation.
