The Local Catalan Service (SLC) of Girona premieres this Thursday, October 8th, the radio program Accents gironins on Girona FM, aiming to disseminate its services and give voice to experiences related to the Catalan language.

The new space is created with the intention of giving voice to people of diverse profiles, origins, and professions, so they can share their experiences linked to the Catalan language in their own words. The program will last 25 minutes and will be broadcast on the second Thursday of each month at 2:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Subsequently, the content will be available on the station's website.
The first edition will focus on the Language Volunteer program, where a language pair will share their experience and their Catalan learning process. This interview will allow listeners to understand the benefits of this initiative, which encourages conversation in Catalan and promotes social inclusion and cohesion.
With Accents gironins, the SLC of Girona seeks to bring its activities closer to the public and give visibility to stories where language is the common thread. The collaboration with Girona FM, a leading station, represents an excellent opportunity to expand the service's reach and promote the use of Catalan in the city.
