The Ministry of Transport has halted the development of the South Sector of Salt after concluding in two reports that the project fails to comply with state regulations regarding roads and noise pollution. These documents, which were advanced by Diari de Girona, are mandatory and binding, indicating that any urban approval ignoring them would be declared null and void.
“"The unfavorable reports regarding the new Trueta are setbacks typical of such complex planning."
Despite the Ministry's warning, the administrations involved, including the Generalitat de Catalunya and the councils of Girona and Salt, have insisted that these setbacks will not affect the scheduled timeline for the development of the Health Campus and the new Trueta hospital.
