The Generalitat de Catalunya and the city councils of Girona and Salt maintain that the development of the new Health Campus will not suffer delays, despite the unfavorable reports from the Ministry of Transport known on January 15.

The Ministry of Transport has halted the development of the South Sector of Salt after concluding in two reports that the project fails to comply with state regulations regarding roads and noise pollution. These documents, which were advanced by Diari de Girona, are mandatory and binding, indicating that any urban approval ignoring them would be declared null and void.

"The unfavorable reports regarding the new Trueta are setbacks typical of such complex planning."
