Girona FC manager, Míchel Sánchez, appeared before the press ahead of the match against Getafe at Montilivi, confirming that the squad could still see movements in the transfer market.

Before analyzing tomorrow's match, the coach expressed his condolences to the family of Davinchi, a Getafe player, following a recent accident. Regarding the squad, Míchel confirmed that key players like Stuani, Abel, and Witsel are "very close to returning" and that the latest signings are already registered and available to play.

"We have to reach 42 points. Everyone sees that the League is very complicated; there is a minimal difference between the twelfth position and relegation."

Regarding the main objective, Míchel insisted that the goal is 42 points to ensure permanence, despite the team's recent good form. He highlighted the difficulty of the opponent, Getafe, managed by Bordalás, whom he described as a "very top coach" capable of taking the game where he wants it. He called on the fans for support, as the match is played on Monday night at Montilivi.

"The market is not closed for us. We have to look at the club's situation. Asprilla's departure may open up a possibility, and if Livakovic leaves, that is also a situation we can take advantage of."

The coach was clear about the need for reinforcements: "With the departure of Asprilla and, if it happens, that of Livakovic, we could reinforce the left-back or the forward position. These are two positions to consider." Nevertheless, he praised the quality of the current squad, emphasizing that the players have taken "a step forward" and set "an example" during the difficult moments of 2025.
