FC Barcelona footballers Pau Cubarsí and his teammate Joan Garcia were victims of burglaries at their homes in Baix Llobregat, incidents that are currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

The home of Pau Cubarsí, who hails from Girona, was broken into on December 30. The robbery occurred around 2:30 PM while the young defender was training with the first team at the sports city, right after the Christmas break.
The thieves took advantage of the fact that the residence, which he shares with his sister, was empty, stealing a watch valued at approximately 6,000 euros. This incident adds to the recent wave of robberies targeting elite footballers.
In the case of Joan Garcia, the assault took place on January 10. At that time, the Blaugrana squad was in Saudi Arabia competing in the Spanish Supercopa. The house alarm was triggered at 8:00 PM after two individuals dressed in black gained access.
Officers from the Mossos d’Esquadra, local police, and security guards hired by FC Barcelona were dispatched to the scene. The thieves managed to steal jewelry totaling 6,000 euros. Both cases are being investigated by the Mossos d’Esquadra Criminal Investigation Division, as reported by La Vanguardia.
