Two women identified for shoplifting and bank fraud in Girona

Municipal Police intercepted the suspects after they robbed two shops and attempted to use a stolen card.

The Girona Municipal Police identified two women this Thursday evening accused of committing several thefts in commercial establishments and attempting to make payments with a stolen bank card.

The events took place around 7:46 PM in the Eixample district. Plainclothes officers part of a special theft prevention operation located and stopped the two suspects in the shopping area.
According to police reports, the women had stolen items from two different shops. Later, they attempted to use a credit card that did not belong to them to complete a transaction.
Following the intervention, the individuals are facing charges for alleged bank fraud and two counts of petty theft in Girona.
