Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, visited Llagostera to announce the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of the C-65z and C-253a, aiming to improve road safety and traffic flow.

The Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition is promoting a project for the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection between the C-65z and the C-253a, in Llagostera. Minister Sílvia Paneque, accompanied by mayor Narcís Llinàs, announced that this initiative aims to enhance road safety, facilitate traffic flow, and serve as an entrance to the town.
Currently, the intersection prioritizes traffic on the C-65z with a central turning lane for movements from the C-253a. The planned roundabout is intended to reduce vehicle speeds approaching the town's main road, thereby improving safety.
The project, with an estimated budget of 600,000 euros, will encompass earthworks, foundations and paving, drainage, signage, safety barriers, continuity of pedestrian and cycle paths, landscaping, and lighting.
Additionally, safety improvements will be analyzed at several pedestrian crossing points near the area of the C-65z and C-253a roads.
