This aid, managed by the Catalan Consumer Agency and the Baix Camp Regional Council, significantly reduces electricity bills.
The discount applied to electricity bills varies according to the level of vulnerability. For the year 2026, the discount is 42.5% for vulnerable consumers and 57.5% for severely vulnerable consumers. In situations of particular risk of social exclusion, the cost of the electricity bill may be covered.
To qualify for this benefit, applicants must have the regulated PVPC (Voluntary Price for Small Consumers) tariff with a power capacity not exceeding 10 kW, and provide proof of meeting the established economic or social requirements.
Eligible groups include households with low incomes, large and single-parent families with reduced incomes, pensioners receiving the minimum pension, recipients of the Minimum Vital Income, and individuals in special circumstances such as disability or dependency.
In addition to the electric social bonus, beneficiaries may also receive the thermal social bonus, an annual economic aid to cover heating, hot water, and cooking expenses.
Applications are processed directly with an authorized reference marketer, either by phone, email, or post, by submitting the corresponding supporting documentation. The bonus is valid for two years, with automatic renewal if the requirements continue to be met.
