A total of 75 young people from 1st to 4th year of ESO from all municipalities in Lluçanès, enrolled at the Institut Castell del Quer in Prats de Lluçanès, are participating in this service, which reaffirms its usefulness for families in the region. The initiative, created to facilitate family reconciliation and promote youth participation in municipal activities, allows these students to have lunch in a meeting space between leaving secondary school and starting their extracurricular activities, such as music, football, or English.
The service is maintained through subsidies at the dining facilities of the Escola Lluçanès, from Monday to Friday, until 4:00 PM. Students have a space equipped with microwaves to heat their meals and are accompanied by a dining hall monitor, ensuring a safe environment, good coexistence, and healthy habits.
The high number of registrations, from all municipalities in Lluçanès, demonstrates the need and value of this proposal within the project Lluçanès territori educador (Lluçanès educator territory), facilitating access to leisure, sports, and educational activities for all the youth in the comarca.
