The Cabrils City Council dedicates the month of October to senior citizens with a special program of cultural and leisure activities.

The United Nations established October 1st as the International Day of Older Persons in 1990. The Cabrils City Council extends this celebration throughout the entire month, organizing a series of events to honor this important segment of the population.
As a highlight, today, October 1st, the Orquestra Selvatana will perform at the Centre Cívic. Admission is free for all holders of the Cabrils Senior Citizen Card.
The program also includes musical talks at the Library, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the birth of Pau Casals. Additionally, a film forum will be offered every Friday at the Centre Cívic, in collaboration with the Cine Club Cabrils.
Decoration workshops are also planned. To conclude the month, a traditional Castanyada (chestnut festival) will be held at the Casal, followed by the play "Mestres de l'Engany" by the association Cultural 9's Cors & Nous.
