The Basic Health Areas of Maresme and Selva have launched the 'What Do You Want to Talk About at the CAP?' survey to identify public health topics of interest and design educational activities.

The Maresme and Selva Health Corporation, through its Basic Health Areas (ABS Calella, Malgrat-Palafolls, and Lloret-Tossa), has launched an initiative to understand citizens' health interests firsthand. The online survey, titled ‘What Do You Want to Talk About at the CAP?’, aims to gather residents' preferences to organize more suitable and effective talks and activities.
The questionnaire covers a wide range of topics, including nutrition, physical activity, cardiovascular, respiratory, and chronic diseases, diabetes and metabolism, mental health and emotional well-being, healthy aging, sexual and women's health, addictions, the role of caregivers, as well as community aspects and social determinants of health.
Laura Lorca, a Dietitian-Nutritionist at ABS Calella and Malgrat and the project's initiator, emphasized that “the survey's objective is to understand citizens' needs directly and offer more specific activities tailored to their interests, making them much more useful and effective”.
Once the response period closes and the results are analyzed, a program of activities and talks will be designed based on the most requested topics. These sessions will feature professionals from various community health fields, including psychology, nutrition, medicine, and nursing.
This pioneering initiative represents a clear commitment from the Corporation's professionals to better meet the population's needs and continuously improve healthcare services for the citizens of Maresme and Selva.
