Swimmers Isak Fernández and Janina Morell were honored as the best absolute athletes of Calella for the year 2025 during the Sports Festival held on Friday at the Fàbrica Llobet.

The gala, which brought together hundreds of people linked to the local sports community, served to recognize the achievements made during 2025. A total of 56 awards were distributed, including direct mentions to 22 local teams that achieved a league title or category promotion last season.
Janina Morell, from Creu Groga Calella Triatló, was highlighted as the best female absolute athlete, while Isak Fernández, from Club Natació Calella, received the male recognition. Also awarded were the UEHC men's first team, the Club Natació Calella absolute swimming team, and the Xou Alta Mar absolute skating team.

The gala also highlighted athletes who achieved Catalan and state championships during 2025, in addition to recognizing those who won medals in European and world competitions.

The event emphasized the organization of reference sports events in Calella, such as the Top Català de Tennis Taula, the Ironman Calella-Barcelona —which gathered over 3,000 athletes from 94 nationalities— and the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Handball Teams. Attendees included Mayor Marc Buch, Sports Councillor Manel Vicente, and the director of the Catalan Sports Council, Carme Bastida.
