The works will focus on the rehabilitation and renaturalization of these spaces, incorporating aquatic vegetation to improve environmental quality and promote biodiversity, especially for amphibians and invertebrates. The works, with a budget of 211,314.50 euros (VAT included), will be carried out in two phases. The first includes the Oques pond and the Brollador ornamental fountain, while the second will focus on the Fantasia Garden pond.
Parc Dalmau, designed in 1927 by architect Jeroni Martorell, is one of Calella's most emblematic green spaces. The Oques pond, which was very popular with children for observing waterfowl, will be restored along with its surroundings. The lion-shaped fountain will be renovated, interior lighting will be installed, and coloured goose figures will be incorporated to evoke its past.
In the Fantasia Garden, the restoration of the pond will bring life back to this corner of the park, which had become a vegetable patch. The incorporation of water lilies, aquatic vegetation, and submerged lighting is planned, along with ornamental elements to beautify the area and maintain its character as a shaded resting spot.
Finally, the Brollador ornamental fountain, located in Plaça del Sortidor, will be restored by repairing cracks and improving the surroundings with a perimeter strip of vegetation, preserving its original design. The works are expected to take approximately three months.
