The Canet de Mar City Council has concluded repair work at eight sites within the municipality that suffered damage due to recent floods.

The interventions included clearing accumulated earth, unblocking passages, repairing access routes affected by landslides, and restoring surfaces eroded by the rain. These actions have helped restore normalcy in various areas of the municipality.
Notable works include unblocking the underpass on Carrer Fragata Paulita, which had led to the closure of access to Carrer Bon Repòs in Sant Pol de Mar. Work was also carried out on the Passeig Marítim, near the Rial de Valldemaria, due to earth accumulation reaching the Adif railway infrastructure.
Landslides affecting the access to Escola Turó del Drac from the park of the same name and the municipal football field have also been repaired. At the latter, earth had impacted vehicle and pedestrian access.
Additionally, accumulated gravel was removed from the paths of Rial d’en Catà with Riera d’en Misser and Rial de Can Figuerola. On Passeig de la Misericòrdia and Plaça de l’Onze de Setembre, screened gravel was added and compacted to repair gullies formed by water.
Eighty percent of the work was carried out by external companies with heavy machinery, while the municipal Works and Services Brigade handled the remaining tasks. The Brigade also conducts semi-annual preventive maintenance of the sewage system and interceptor grates to minimize potential blockages.
