The Òrrius City Council has decided to suspend the cultural and festive events scheduled for the coming days due to the severe effects and damage caused by the recent storm in the municipality.

The decision comes after the Government Delegate in Barcelona visited the municipality to assess the damage caused by the floods last weekend. The mayor, Xavier Masgrau González, conveyed to the delegate and the manager of the ACA the urgent need for resources to restore the affected infrastructure.
In response to the heavy rainfall, the City Council has also issued recommendations for residents who have suffered damage or losses. Furthermore, information has been provided regarding the impact on the drinking water supply, with Agbar's technical services working to repair various network faults.
As a precautionary measure, and following the recommendations of Civil Protection, the Escola Òrrius will remain closed today, in agreement with the Department of Education and the school's management team. Likewise, all activities scheduled for this afternoon in municipal facilities are suspended.
Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow information through official channels.
