The Dosrius Town Council, in collaboration with Veolia, has initiated a comprehensive plan that will inspect 36 kilometers of the sewage system until 2026 to ensure a more efficient and secure service.

The actions, which began last **November** and will progressively extend throughout **2026**, aim primarily to update the state of the infrastructure and reinforce maintenance. The plan involves the inspection and diagnosis of 36 kilometers of the network, a key task for updating mapping and detecting structural damage or root ingress.
For diagnosis, fixed cameras installed on poles are used to record images of the interior of the sewage system. These recordings allow for the analysis of the foundation status of the pipes. The data obtained is subsequently processed using a digital maintenance system that facilitates global network analysis.
Simultaneously, the plan includes hydrodynamic cleaning of the network using a water recirculating truck, which optimizes resources by reusing filtered water. Furthermore, annual cleaning of up to 784 drains and grates has been increased, and the cleaning frequency of the wastewater pumping stations (**EBAR**) at **Can Bordoi** and **Can Burriach** is being intensified.

"The Mayor of Dosrius, Sílvia Garrido, highlighted that this plan is a clear commitment to anticipating problems and guaranteeing a more efficient, safe, and adapted sanitation service for the municipality's current needs."

"The modernization and digitalization of the network will allow for the anticipation of potential issues, especially in a context marked by extreme weather phenomena."
