Given the inability to contact the supplying company and the ongoing water shortage, the City Council decided to carry out an emergency health intervention at the facilities. This action was based on mayoral decrees, as the mayor is recognized as a local health authority by Law 18/2009 on public health of Catalonia.
The companies responsible for public lighting maintenance and the municipal water supply service were ordered to locate the source of the incident. During Thursday afternoon, October 22nd, two generators were installed at one of the reservoirs to resume pumping and refill the empty tanks.
Thanks to this emergency measure, water reached almost all affected homes this morning. Only one family is still without supply, although isolated cases may still emerge. The municipal water company is checking pressure and quality.
The City Council requests that any household still without supply immediately report it to the Local Police, indicating the affected plot or address, so that technical services can resolve any pending issues. The emergency service will remain in place until the situation is fully normalized.
