Gispert, who currently serves as a local councillor and party president in Tordera, received unanimous backing from the party members during a recent assembly. He will succeed Marta Paset, the current municipal spokesperson, who announced she will not run as the lead candidate again.

While stepping down from the top spot, Paset confirmed she will remain active within the local project. This early appointment allows the party to begin preparations for the 2027 elections in the Maresme region well in advance.
