The Blanes Local Police has officially incorporated five new officers and two corporals as career civil servants, bringing the total force to 84 members as of this week.

The new members of the Blanes police force join through mobility processes, arriving from the local police departments of Palafolls, Vilassar de Dalt, Lliçà de Munt, and Sant Antoni de Calonge.
The current staff count includes four officers who are presently completing their training at the Public Security Institute of Catalonia (ISPC). These additions are part of the local government's plan to scale up municipal public safety.
Looking ahead to the summer season, the Blanes Town Council plans to further expand the force. Four new positions will be opened, and six temporary officers will be hired to handle the increased demand during the peak tourist months.
