The Calella City Council has unanimously approved holding monthly plenary sessions starting next March, bringing the municipality into compliance with regulations for cities over 20,000 residents.

The measure, ratified during the plenary session last January, fulfills a political agreement reached in July 2025. This change aligns with the legal requirements for towns in the Maresme region that exceed the 20,000 inhabitant threshold.
The schedule for these meetings will remain consistent with previous practice. Calella plenary sessions will continue to take place on the first Thursday of every month at 5:30 PM.
