The investigation began after police tracked GPS signals from several stolen devices to an apartment on Catalunya Avenue in Rubí. Investigative units and plainclothes officers confirmed the residence was being used to store the stolen goods.
According to police reports, the suspects took advantage of crowds in nightclubs and local festivals to commit thefts. Affected cities include Mataró, Salt, Igualada, Mollerussa, Lleida, Tarragona, Reus, and Salou.
The two detainees, who have already appeared before a judge, have a combined record of 23 previous police offenses for similar crimes committed throughout the region in recent months.
