The ERC party in Maresme held a crucial meeting in El Masnou, gathering about a hundred militants, ahead of the upcoming municipal elections in 2027. During the event, both the management of president Marc Almendro, mayor of Alella, and the regional accounts presented by Finance Secretary Xavier Gatius were approved.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the election of Francesc Gil, originally from Pineda, as the new national councillor. Gil will fill the vacancy left by Sílvia Sàiz, from Mataró, who resigned from the position several months ago. Gil's experience includes having served as a councillor in the Pineda City Council and as Organization Secretary for ERC in the region.
“"We will act as a transmission belt between the grassroots in Maresme and the National Council itself."
In his speech, Gil emphasized the importance of local roots and his commitment to actively work for the party. From now on, Francesc Gil will join Mariona Pasqual (from Argentona) and Lluís Llovet (from Canet) in representing Maresme within ERC's highest decision-making body between congresses.
