The exhibition presents the results of research exploring the artistic and literary ties between the two protagonists and their generational peers, including the rift that marked their friendship around 1906.
Beyond their personal relationship, the exhibition focuses on the cultural context of the era. Key topics include the depiction of marginal life and the suburbs of Barcelona in their works, as well as Vallmitjana's role as a sports patron and the importance of his silversmith workshop, a reference point for the sculptors of that time.
