Civil Protection has announced the end of the lockdown in the municipality of Òrrius, in Maresme, after firefighters brought the midday fire under control.

A message sent to the mobile phones of Òrrius residents confirmed the news: the lockdown imposed due to the fire has been lifted. The alert had initially been activated for a blaze affecting both vegetation and an industrial facility in the municipality.
According to Fire Department sources, no hot spots were detected in the vegetation area overnight. In the industrial sector, although a smoke column was still visible, the fire's intensity has significantly decreased.
The fire originated in the yard of a factory that manufactures waxes and paraffins, from where it rapidly spread to the nearby forest, causing concern in the Maresme region.
