The CAP Dr. Josep Torner i Fors in Malgrat de Mar has introduced a music therapy pilot program this March 2026 aimed at supporting frail patients' cognitive health.

The initiative consists of four weekly sessions where a group of twelve participants engage in singing, listening to nostalgic music, and playing instruments. This group setting is designed to encourage communication and social interaction among patients in the Maresme area.
Beyond social benefits, the therapy focuses on stimulating memory, focus, and concentration while significantly lowering anxiety levels. The project was made possible through financial support from the Malgrat de Mar City Council Health Department.
Following the positive initial response, the health center is currently seeking further funding to ensure the long-term sustainability of this therapeutic program.
