The incident took place last Monday, shortly after 3:30 PM, when a patrol conducting preventive duties in the Cerdanyola neighborhood was alerted to attend to an injured woman on Rosselló Street.

The victim told officers that a man had attacked her with a bladed weapon in the hand and had fled. Thanks to the description provided, police officers were able to locate and arrest the alleged assailant for a crime of assault.

The bladed weapon used in the attack was found hidden under a vehicle. The injured woman was transferred by the Emergency Medical System (SEM) to Mataró Hospital, where she was admitted in a less serious condition.
