The Maresme region welcomed 986,911 international tourists in 2025, marking a 3.2% increase and the highest figure recorded in the last six years for the area.

According to the Local Development Observatory, the region accounted for 4.4% of all foreign visitors to Catalonia. While the summer season remains dominant, a significant 27% growth in January suggests a positive trend towards year-round tourism.
France remains the top market with 18% of visitors, followed by the United Kingdom and Germany. Malgrat de Mar emerged as the leading municipality with over 157,000 tourists, followed by Calella and Santa Susanna.
