Textiles remain the third largest industrial sector in Maresme, accounting for 8.4% of total industrial turnover. The region holds 21.3% of the textile and footwear market share within the province of Barcelona, trailing only behind the Vallès Occidental in per capita revenue.

The town of Canet de Mar showed exceptional performance, increasing its per capita turnover by 696 euros to reach 9,483 euros per inhabitant. This growth places the municipality in fourth position across the entire province.

However, employment figures continue to struggle. In 2025, the sector recorded 4,633 jobs, a decrease of 174 positions compared to the previous year. The garment manufacturing subsector, which employs over half of the industry's workers, saw a sharp 4.29% decline.
