Mataró Becomes the Epicenter of World Cycling with the Volta a Catalunya

The city of Mataró will host the start of the fourth stage of the Volta a Catalunya this Thursday, March 26, a decisive mountain day connecting Maresme with Vallter 2000.

The event will begin at Camí de la Geganta, with the signature control starting at 11:25 AM. The official race start is scheduled for 12:30 PM, following a neutralized route through major streets such as Plaça d'Espanya and Via d'Europa.
Top international cyclists including Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel, João Almeida, and Tom Pidcock are confirmed for the race. This 173-kilometer stage marks the first of three high-mountain challenges in this year's edition.
The local club Esport Ciclista Mataró, celebrating its centenary, has been honored with the Medalla d'Honor de La Volta. Traffic restrictions will be in place from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the starting area.
