The Pineda de Mar City Council is organizing Cancer Awareness Week from February 4 to 14, 2026, aiming to inform, prevent, and offer support to those affected.

The initiative, taking place in Pineda de Mar, is a comprehensive program designed to raise public awareness and provide prevention tools through talks, exhibitions, health activities, and cultural proposals.
One of the key proposals is the presentation of the book Culleres que cuiden (Caring Spoons), scheduled for February 10 and 13 at the municipal libraries. The week will officially start with the hanging of the ribbon on the balcony of Can Comas.

The week aims to focus on prevention, information, and support in the fight against cancer.

The program includes various activities such as talks on nutrition and cancer, cinema sessions, and Nordic walking. All activities are organized in collaboration with local entities and the Fundació Joan Petit Nens amb Càncer (Joan Petit Foundation for Children with Cancer), which promotes fundraising for research.
