The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 30-year-old man for the seventh time in less than two months, accused of two vehicle break-ins in the Cerdanyola neighborhood of Mataró.

The latest arrest occurred on April 14, when a witness alerted the police around 00:30 hours that an individual had broken the window of a parked car at the intersection of Verge de la Paloma and Jaume I streets.
Thanks to the description provided by the witness, a Mossos d'Esquadra patrol located the suspect on Marató street, very close to the scene of the crime. Upon searching him, officers found sunglasses, a car air freshener, lighters, and other items allegedly stolen from two forced vehicles. He also carried a specialized tool for breaking vehicle windows.
The man, who has a long history of police records, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of robbery with force inside a vehicle. This marks the seventh time he has been arrested for similar incidents since February 9.
These arrests are the result of intensified preventive patrolling by the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Mataró Local Police in the Cerdanyola neighborhood, aimed at combating this type of crime. The detainee was brought before the court on April 15 at the duty court in Mataró.
