The city of Mataró in the Maresme region will host the eighth edition of Sororiart on March 13 and 14, a feminist festival serving as the climax of International Women's Day events.

The festival kicks off on Friday at Teatre el Cafè Nou with a performance by Maria Lamata. She will present her latest album Ella diu, a project that blends pop and R&B to explore personal themes such as family relationships and body image.
Saturday's schedule at Pati del Cafè Nou includes a wide range of family-friendly activities. Highlights include a parade of school giants organized by the Molins neighborhood group and a social circus show by La Crispeta.
The official poster for Sororiart 2026 was created by Berta Fabo Tortós, a student at Escola GEM. Her design, which won the Mataró City Council competition, focuses on breaking normative beauty standards and celebrating diversity.
The event will conclude with live music from Dissabte Klap and Machete en Boca. Local organizations will also be present to provide information on feminist initiatives within the Maresme community.
