The city of Mataró is preparing to host the eighth edition of Sororiart, the leading feminist festival in the Maresme region, taking place on March 13 and 14 at Pati del Cafè Nou.

This year's program kicks off on Friday, March 13 at 8:30 PM with a performance by Maria Lamata at Teatre el Cafè Nou. The artist will present her most intimate work, Ella diu, an album blending pop and R&B produced by Aleix Bou.
Saturday will be the main day of the festival, running from 5:30 PM until late. The venue will feature information booths from feminist organizations in Mataró and an exhibition of the 8M Image Contest entries. Berta Fabo Tortós, a student from GEM school, won this year's competition with a design focused on body diversity.
Saturday's cultural lineup includes the family show L'esclava empoderada, a parade of traditional giants from local schools, and live music from Dissabte Klap and Machete en Boca. Catering services will be provided by Fundació Maresme.
